Dawson Area Development administers housing assistance programs in all three cities within the County: Gothenburg, Cozad, and Lexington. In each community, OOR (Owner Occupied Rehab) programs provide 100% forgivable loans to income-qualified homeowners to improve the quality of their housing. Career Services, Inc., under the umbrella of DAD, purchases houses that need rehabilitation, then makes repairs and sells the homes to income qualified individuals with down payment assistance.
